JULY & AUGUST 2005 - 2

Recently I was asked to address a group of about 80 mature MA students and their professors of a university in Southern Thailand about the work of Phi Phi AID.

I  was thankful that they wanted to be addressed in English instead of Thai.  They all listened with great attention, and asked me to lecture at their university.

I have maintained close contact with the school at Tonsai Village, and recently presented shirts with the Phi Phi AID logo to all staff and pupils.

It is always a pleasure for me to visit the school, as the atmosphere is happy, bubbly and exciting.

On 24 August, from 08.30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. I was at the school for its Games Day.  It was a long, hot but very exciting day.

Phi Phi AID bought the medals and trophies for the occasion and I presented many of them.  The games were fun and original, thoroughly enjoyed by pupils, staff, parents and visitors.  The spirit was competitive but nevertheless relaxed and happy.
